Yes fella's. Who does not have a laptop or computer? Surely not us because we are typing this right now. Man that would be a bad design if you needed a dedicated computer. Plug in to program..that's it.

sorry, I read it incorrectly (and so probably is Vlad), for the actual adjustment, you need the USB cable connected; but once you set the adjustment levels, it does not require a computer/laptop to run at the adjusted levels.

Sure, thats cheaper but the functionality sucks. You need a laptop or a computer to control your pumps using this USB design. How much does a cheap laptop cost these days?

The TPC controls the pumps through your RKE. Thats it. No need to buy additional components.

Not to burst a bubble but the new tunze multicontroller 7096 is quite a bit cheaper then the older 7095 and can be programed by USB. It runs for $182 CAD at jlaquatics.

Wouldn't touch Hydors while sitting in my filled bath tub.

Thats a good question on volt controlled or PWM. I'll ask our Reefbell to find out.

The speed controlled pumps operate on DC power. Are they voltage controlled or PWM? If they are all using the same method, this controller should work on all speed controlled pumps, not just Tunze. Maybe DA is working on widening support for these? Tunzes are superior, but Hydors are much cheaper.

hmm interesting , Tunze & Hydor both create too expensive controllers (& controllable pumps) in my opinion.

Tunze is okay as it is higher end products, but Hydor's controllable are a bit overpriced especially their selling point was their price (and not that other thing)
