So yesterday we saw some of the more common of the uncommon Acropora species. Now, we will look at some that we just simply haven’t even heard of. They include Acropora simplex, Acropora elegans, Acropora pichoni, and Acropora tenella (to name a few).

The nature of these groups of coral is to hold this brown coloration throughout its maturity. But, there has been evidence that they can change in color, given enough light for the expulsion of the symbiotic zooxanthellae. I currently possess two very like species of deep water Acropora. I am personally curious to see how they react to man-made conditions. I will have a post for you all, where I will show you how these two corals metamorphosize.
