BAG, how do I increase the flow in my tank? I have a couple of MaxiJet 400s in my 300 gallon tank.

Easy!! Get a paddle, and dunk it in your tank. With a swirling motion, move the paddle inside the tank. This will give you the water movement that you require. Don’t forget every 30 minutes to come back and re-swirl.

Love your column Guppy! Keep up the great work! Here is a quick one. How do I get my hermit crab to switch shells? I have tried all kinds and they are not good enough.

This one is tricky to do, so pay attention. You take the hermit crab with the shell. You pull him out with 12″ grip pliers. Then you jam him into a shell of your choice. A few tries and you will master this technique. Good luck.

Hey gups, how do I know my skimmate is right? I don’t want to under or over-skim.

Do what I do every Sunday night… sip some skimmate. If its thick like coffee, but tastes awful, spit it out as it is right on the money. Anything else is just for swallowing.

If you had to choose one, which one would you rather have in your tank: Dwarf or a Regular angelfish?

Why not both? Get some zip-ties and tie them together.

Until next time. Keep your emails coming!
