Is that a purple anemone inside an acro colony? That’s a nice pic for whenever the “you can’t mix soft & hard corals” argument comes up.
And yes, I know it’s the ocean, things can happen that can’t happen in tanks, yada, yada.
Plus Richie, if it moves, who would care if it stings 4% of the acro colony?
@Richie – I’ve had trouble with that mantra since I heard it. It even says in Bob Fenner’s Concienceous Marine Aquarist that that anemones and corals live far away from each other in the wild. Obviously, this isn’t the case.
If an anemone is moving around in a tank, then it’s not happy and probably shouldn’t be in the system.
